British car company Lotus has launched its first car Eletre in the Indian market. The company claims that the electric SUV gives a range of 600 km on full charge. Lotus has introduced the car in three variants. Its initial price has been kept at Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom, pan India). Lotus Electric SUV in India competes with Jaguar I-Pace and BMW IX. It can also be selected in the option of Lamborghini Eurus S.

The front of Eletre Electric SUV has active grill and lhe shape matrix LED headlights on large aircraft, this makes the car look quite aggressive. Talking about the side profile, here are stylish 22-inch 10 spoke alloy wheels, while 20-inch and 23-inch alloy wheels are kept optional.

Its overall design from the side looks like a high performance SUV like Lamborghini Eurus and Ferrari Purosangue. The rear of the car has a sloping roof line, which is found in the active rear spoiler on the tailgate. Connected LED taillamps and black rear bumpers are giving a bold look to the design of electric SUVs.

The car is available with five color options. It includes gallo ways green, stallers Black, Camu Gray, Blossom Gray and Solar Yellow. The electric SUV is 5103mm, width 2231mm and height is 1630mm and its wheelbase is 3019mm.

The interior of Eletre has a black seat upholstery with the all-black theme. The dashboard of the car has a 15.1 -inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with 12GB of RAM, allowing all functions to be controlled. It comes with 128GB storage with 5G connectivity.

It provides 12.6 -inch Digital Instrument Cluster, HUD display, apple carplay, android auto, intelligent voice control, wireless charging pads, third screen for passengers, 23 - speaker 2, 160 watt sound system, panoramic roof and other features. There are also Adas, 6 radars, seven HD cameras of 8MP and 12 ultrasonic sensors for safety in the car.

Infotainment display for rear passenger is also provided. It has a 1380 watt 15- Speaker KEF Sound System, while the top model has a 2160 wetted 23 speaker setup, which gives 3D surround sound experience. Eletre also has Lidar sensor and autonomous driving technology.

Lotus Eletre: Performance and Battery

Eletre SUV is introduced with 3 powertrain options. All have 112kwh battery pack, which is paired with a powerful motor. These twin motors come with a 2-speed transmission. The electric motor given in the base variant and mid variant 5 generates power of 611 PS and torque of 710 Nm. In both these variants, a 600 km range has been claimed on full charge.

At the same time, the car generates 918 PS power and 985 Nm of torque in the top variant. This performance variant provides a range of 490 km with a car. All three variants have an all-wheel drive and active air suspension is standard. Lotus says the battery can be charged up to 10–80% in 20 minutes using a rapid charger and gets 22kwh AC charger as a standard.

The car has two advanced driver assistance system packs, parking packs and highway assist packs. Lotus dynamic handling packs, carbon fiber packs, high performance gloss black tires and stainless steel pedals are also available in Eletre R.

First outlet opened in Delhi

Lotus has opened its first outlet in New Delhi. Lotus is now owned by the Chinese brand Jelly Automotive Group, which also has Volvo, Polestar, Jeekar, Smart, Livan and many other automotive brands. The company has partnered New Delhi with exclusive Motors to handle sales and services in India.
