Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq and Scorpio-N Global Pik Up truck unveil

Automotive enthusiasts and electric vehicle buyers across India are eagerly counting down to tomorrow, August 15, 2026, as homegrown automaker Mahindra & Mahindra prepares to host its marquee annual Independence Day global showcase. Continuing its long-standing tradition of revealing breakthrough concept vehicles and production SUVs on August 15, Mahindra is officially confirmed to debut the BE 6 Sporteq electric coupe SUV alongside a near-production version of the Scorpio-N Global Pik Up truck.

BE 6 Sporteq Debuts with Triple-Screen Dashboard and Tan Interior

Recent spy photographs and official video teasers confirm that the BE 6 Sporteq will introduce a stunning full-width triple-screen dashboard layout. Comprising three distinct 12.3-inch ultra-high-definition displays for the driver, central navigation hub, and front passenger entertainment, the setup mirrors the technology found on the flagship XEV 9S. In addition, the cabin gains premium tan leatherette upholstery, an open center console without dividing bulkheads, and customizable multi-zone ambient lighting.

Formula E Edition Updates and Nu_IQ Born-Electric Powertrain

Alongside the Sporteq trim, Mahindra is updating the popular BE 6 Formula E Edition, featuring larger C-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), aerodynamic carbon-accented alloy wheels, and a bold Tango Red dual-tone paint finish. The BE 6 lineup retains its high-efficiency 79kWh LFP battery pack option, promising an ARAI-rated driving range of up to 683 kilometers and blistering 0-100km/h sprint times under 6.7 seconds via high-output dual electric motors.

Scorpio-N Global Pik Up Production Readiness and Global Market Role

Sharing the spotlight on August 15 is the highly anticipated production-spec Scorpio-N Global Pik Up truck. Engineered on a rugged hydroformed ladder-frame chassis with heavy-duty 4x4 off-road running gear, the lifestyle utility truck will be powered by Mahindra's proven 2.2-litre mHawk diesel and 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engines. The model is slated to launch across India, Australia, and South Africa as a rugged alternative to the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max.
