Kawasaki India has launched the updated version of Z650RS in the Indian market. The price of the retro styled bike is Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It is a middle weight motorcycle that combines modern and classic elements together.

Z650RS has 2-mode traction control system. The addition of traction control system has made the model safer. This system prevents the bike from slipping especially on wet roads. Apart from this, no changes have been made in the motorcycle. In India, the Z650RS competes with bikes like Benelli Leoncino 500, Honda CL500 Scrambler, Triumph Street Twin and Ducati Scrambler 800.

The Kawasaki Z650RS comes in two stunning color options - Metallic Spark Black and Candy Emerald Green. The price starts at an attractive ₹6.65 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an accessible option for riders seeking a premium retro motorcycle experience. This price point positions the Z650RS competitively against other retro contenders in the Indian market

Kawasaki Z650RS Design

The Z650RS is designed on a tubular diamond frame. It has round headlamps, single-piece seat, semi-analogue and digital instrument cluster. In the Indian market, it has been introduced only in single color metallic matte carbon grey.

Kawasaki Z650RS Hardware

For comfort riding, telescopic forks have been provided in the front of Kawasaki Z650RS, which can travel up to 125mm. At the same time, there is a monoshock absorber at the rear, which can travel up to 130mm. For braking, 272 mm dual disc brake is provided at the front and 186 mm single disc at the rear. The bike runs on 17 inch golden alloy wheels.

Kawasaki Z650RS Performance

For performance, the bike has a 649 CC liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine, which generates maximum power of 67BHP at 8000RPM and peak torque output of 64Nm at 6700RPM. For transmission, the engine is tuned to a unit of 6-speed on duty gearbox, which comes with assist and slip clutch. This engine setup is also found in Ninja 650 and Versus 650.
