The launch date of iQOO 12 in India has finally been announced. CEO of iQOO said that this flagship smartphone will be launched in India on 12 December 2023. The iQOO 12 will be seen for the first time with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, making it the first smartphone in India to feature this processor. The price of iQOO 12 has not been officially published yet, but it is believed that it may be costlier than iQOO 11, whose price started at Rs 44,990. iQOO 12 will be available only on Amazon.in, where pre-registration of the smartphone will start from December 7. The iQOO 12 features a BMW Motorsport Edition model will also be included, which will be like the iQOO 11 Legend.

Display: iQOO 12 will have a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE OLED display, with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, DCI-P3 color gamut, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, in-display fingerprint sensor, and punch-hole selfie camera.

Processor: iQOO 12 will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is an octa-core processor and comes with Adreno 730 GPU. This chipset is made on 4nm process which comes with Cortex-X2 core.

RAM and Storage: iQOO 12 will have up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 1TB UFS 3.1 internal storage. There will be no microSD card slot in the phone.

OS: iQOO 12 will run on Android 14 OS, which will have iQOO's Origin OS 4.0 custom skin on it.

Cameras: There will be a rectangular camera module on the rear panel of the iQOO 12, which will house three cameras and an LED flash. The primary camera of the phone will be a 50MP OmniVision OV50H sensor, which will support OIS, EIS and 8K video recording. The secondary camera will be a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, which will come with an ultra-wide angle lens. The tertiary camera will be a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, which will come with a telephoto lens and support 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom. The selfie camera of the phone will be 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor, which will support HDR, portrait mode and night mode.

Battery and Charging: iQOO 12 will have a 5,000mAh battery, which will come with 120W fast charging support. The phone will not support wireless charging or reverse charging.

Connectivity and Sensors: iQOO 12 will have dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C port and stereo speakers. iQOO 12 phone will not have a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will also have sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass, and barometer.

Dimensions and weight: iQOO 12 will measure 164.8 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm and weigh 215 grams.
